Service Description

Creative overlocking – a guide to more advanced techniques for your overlocker Level: Intermediate During this day long course, you will explore how to make the most out of your overlocker. For each technique you will have a demonstration, and then you will receive support and guidance as you then try out on your own machine what you have seen. The skills that will be covered include: Mock band hems Inserting fishing line into a rolled hem Flatlock and ladder stitch, including ribbon detail Creative pin tucks Overlocking with decorative threads Welt and fell seams At the end of session you will be able to maximise the potential of your overlocker and create fantastic garments and add creative finishes to homeware. You will need to bring your own overlocker, as this workshop is designed for people who want to improve on there existing overlocking knowledge. As this is a day workshop you may want to bring some lunch. Tea and coffee and lots of sewing chatter will be provided. Sat 8th Oct 2022 11am -4pm Price £45 (all materials included).
